  7. Version 2.0:
  8.     The new version expands on Silk 1.0 and adds many new features. The new features include:
  9.     * even more support for NOS 2.1 (MessagePad 2000 and eMates)
  10.     * customizable positioning and sizing of the Silk Button
  11.     * automatically turns the light on when you turn on your Newton at user 
  12.           specified times of the day
  13.     * works with the keyboard on NOS 2.1 and greater Newtons.
  14.         * cmd-L to toggle the backlight
  15.         * ctrl-cmd-delete to reset the Newton
  16.  
  17. Version 1.0:
  18.     Silk was written because I tried to use my MP130 one night and could not see the builtin silk screen buttons. As a pleasant side effect, Silk works in rotated mode so that your silk screen buttons will float in the proper orientation.

  20. Silk also lets you toggle on and off the backlighting.

  22. The main purpose of Silk is to quickly toggle on and off the backlight for your 
  23. Newton. This saves you time and saves your Newton's powerswitch from wearing out.

  27. Install Silk.pkg.
  28.  
  29. Toggling Backlighting:
  30.     Tap the lower right corner  (or whatever corner you setup) to toggle the backlighting on and off.

  32. Opening Button Floater:
  33.     1. Press the lower right corner for 0.5 seconds until the floating silk screen palatte opens.
  34.     2. Press the lower right corner for another 0.5 seconds until the mini floating silk screen palatte opens. (The mini pallatte only includes the arrows and undo)

  36. Toggling Backlighting from Keyboard:
  37.     Press cmd-L  (apple-L)
  38.  
  39. Reseting the Newton from the Keyboard:
  40.     Press ctrl-cmd-delete (just like your desktop)
